Floki has tied up with teams from the English Premier League to feature its native token and to-be-released game.
The FLOKI token and Valhalla game will be showcased on a host of EPL properties. A team member pointed out that this could potentially be a multi-year agreement. However, for now, it is a minimum one-year or one-season deal.
The bidding process was not a part of the equation, given that Floki had “direct contacts.” According to the team, direct relationships with “well-established and highly respected organizations” will help them maximize their impact within the blockchain arena.
The executives believe that the latest development will give FLOKI and its game exposure to capture retail interest.
A recent report brought to light,
“FLOKI tokens will be the cryptocurrency partner for Nottingham Forest. Their upcoming game Valhalla will feature on the back of the Sunderland AFC jersey, and will additionally be displayed as on-screen ads throughout all league games.”
In another recent development that shaped up last week, Crypto.com bagged a multi-year partnership deal with the UEFA Champions League, making the exchange the “first and exclusive” global crypto platform partner. The sponsorship will include in-stadium activations, broadcast integrations, and advertising campaigns.
The exchange, alongside the UEFA, intends to bring “unique experiences” by bolstering fan engagement around football and crypto assets.
The Floki team believes that unlike many exchanges and large projects that invest heavily in securing partnerships, Floki merely spends a fraction of the cost. Owing to the deal’s confidentiality, specific costs with respect to sponsorships were not unveiled.
FLOKI did note a rise in price on the heels of the EPL-ties revelation. However, the hype failed to sustain. At press time, the crypto was seen exchanging hands at $0.0001227, down 3.7% over the past day.
