On Thursday, Trump delivered his economic speech before members of the Economic Club of New York in Midtown Manhattan. The presidential contender chalked out a seven-pillar economic plan.
In his speech, he reaffirmed that he would make the US the crypto capital of the world if he’s re-elected. He said,
“Instead of attacking industries of the future, we will embrace them, including making America the world capital for crypto and Bitcoin.”
The current government has been sticking to regulation by enforcement. Industry players like Coinbase have time and again asserted that this is not the way to regulate and operate a transparent government.
They have been demanding better from the financial regulators.
In hindsight, Trump went on to touch upon the regulatory aspects and underlined how he’d work towards making everything less burdensome and tedious. He said,
“I will launch a historic campaign to liberate our economy from crippling regulation. I’m pledging today that in my second term, we will eliminate a minimum of tenfold regulations for every one new regulation.”
The presidential contender further went on to unveil that he will make Elon Musk spearhead a novel government efficiency commission. The body will be in charge of auditing the federal government’s spending and unearthing waste. He asserted,
“At the suggestion of Elon Musk, who has given me his complete and total endorsement … I will create a government efficiency commission. We need to do it. Can’t go on the way we are now.”
