The initial version of Arbitrum Odyssey, codenamed 'The Genesis Odyssey', was incredibly successful and nearly overwhelmed the chain at the time, causing a temporary pause. However, Arbitrum has since made significant improvements and solidified its position as the top L2 platform with a thriving community and DeFi ecosystem.
For those who are still part of the Arbitrum community, get ready for Odyssey 2.0 (Run it back turbo).
This next iteration will feature a range of innovative projects brought together by Unstoppable, a "community-owned, 360-degree CEX replacement".
The upcoming release of the Odyssey 2.0 - Community Edition will include a new incentivized activity program, providing users with an opportunity to explore some of the most exciting protocols available on Arbitrum.

Arbitrum has emerged as the preferred roll-up solution for Ethereum users, with almost 10 times the number of active users compared to Optimism, and more total value locked (TVL) than Polygon, according to Defillama. Additionally, many innovative projects have recently chosen to join the Arbitrum community and deploy on the chain. Even after the ARB airdrop is over, the ecosystem continues to thrive and did not see a significant outflow of users who were only interested in the airdrop.
It seems clear that Arbitrum is here to stay, and the exciting DeFi projects that are participating in the upcoming Odyssey 2.0 release are a testament to this.

Odyssey 2.0 - Season 1
12 projects - 12 weeks.
Similar to the original Odyssey, the upcoming Odyssey 2.0 will allow participants to complete quests by engaging with various participating protocols over a 12-week period. The full list of projects taking part in the event will be announced soon, along with further details on how users can participate.
To prevent fraudulent activities such as sybil attacks, participants will be required to connect their social media (Twitter) account as well as their wallet address while fulfilling specific tasks, such as following the official Twitter accounts of Arbitrum, Unstoppable, and the other participating projects. Additional measures will also be implemented to prevent sybil attacks.
Upon successful completion of the quests, users will be eligible to receive a share of the reward at the end of the season. But what exactly is the reward? Let's find out.
The Reward
Most importantly, all participants of the upcoming Odyssey 2.0 will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with 12 exceptional projects on the Arbitrum platform, learning about their unique features and offerings.
