Welcome, my fellow degenerates. The ATHs won’t stop coming, and neither will our articles.
Today, we’re revisiting a blocmates favorite. Zentry.
I know all anybody wants to talk about at the moment is AI coins and Hyperliquid.
This is not an issue because the two are likely to be major outperformers over the next few months. But as the saying goes, the most opportunity is often found where fewer people are looking.
While most of us have been looking this way, the web3 gaming sector has been quietly cooking in the background.
For starters, we saw the major success of Off The Grid. A game created by Gunzilla, which is available on the PlayStation store with an active NFT marketplace on Avalanche.
Ubisoft, the gaming giant, is looking to go live with their game on Arbitrum very soon. Lastly, we have the massive attention that Maplsestory has been getting.
These are just a few examples off the top of my head, but this sector has been quietly cooking up a storm.
Gaming is by far the most popular online application in terms of attracting users, with over 3 billion gamers worldwide. So, in terms of a consumer-friendly application to onboard users, there is no sector better than gaming.
As we have said many times in the past, Zentry is best positioned to be amongst the biggest benefactors of web 3 gaming.
So, enough chit-chat, let us just run you through why.
A quick overview
Zentry is no ordinary gaming project. It is a game of games.
You can think of Zentry as the metagame layer, a product that sits atop the vast web3 gaming ecosystem, combining multiple elements of the gaming sector under one roof to create a comprehensive product suite for all types of gamers.
You have multiple games, digital identities, social interactions, badges, items, rewards, cross-world activities, staking economy, and much more combined under one roof to create the Zentry universe.
At a high level, if you break down the core elements of Zentry’s metagame stack, it looks like this:
- Consumer apps
- Infrastructure
- IP rich world
- Treasury
With consumer apps, Zentry targets a wide variety of potential users. Examples of their consumer apps include open-world games, AI agents, a social layer, an NFT marketplace, and much more.
Coupled with this is their robust infrastructure, which serves as the intermediary between Web 2 and Web 3 gaming. From SDKs to an open universe for everyone to interact on, Zentry is looking to combine all the best elements of the two gaming worlds under one hub.
To go with this, they have an absolutely stacked treasury of stablecoins and ETH that are always earning yield, as well as some strong investments on the side that ensure that the treasury is always growing.
All of this is just a brief background to give you an idea of the scale at which Zentry is working.
However, things are now heating up. If you had kept up with their social channels recently, you would have seen that they released their full whitepaper outlining all the upcoming elements.
The products are going to start getting rolled out very soon so we thought we’d do our bit to get you ahead of the curve and keep you in touch with all the important aspects of what makes Zentry so great.
Upcoming Product Launches
Although Zentry is going to be a massive gaming ecosystem, the two products closest to full launch are:
- Radiant
- Nexus
Radiant, currently in beta testing, is a cross-platform metagame app designed to connect the worlds of web 2 and web3 gaming.
It’s an application built on top of classic traditional games like Dota2, CS:GO, and others. With Radiant, players’ actions across these traditional games contribute to their progression and storyline on Radiant, effectively making every gaming experience part of a large MMORPG-style game.
For example, let’s say you reach a certain rank in a first-person shooter game while completing daily quests in other games. All of these actions could result in you receiving rewards on Zentry or unlocking a new storyline on your Radiant journey.
What’s better is that Radiant essentially acts as this immersive yet unified layer on top of a majority of games that people already know and love, which can make the overall gaming experience more rewarding.
For active gamers, joining Radiant is an absolute no-brainer.
Nexus is more of a social interaction layer.
The idea is for it to be a social hub for web3 and gaming culture. So, whether it’s social interactions, achievements, or asset ownership across the digital and physical world, all of it gets combined under one unified identity on Nexus.
It’s the social gateway to Zentry’s play economy.
There are two roles in Nexus. There is the ‘Storyteller’ who are the people who create content and will be rewarded with ‘charges,’ and the other party is the ‘watchers’ who are the ones who interact with the content and can zap to earn volts.
With this as the backdrop, other games, companies, and communities can leverage this social layer to either market for their brand or incentivize content creation to attract more users to their products.
They even take it one step further by adding functionality for AI agents. Similar to how AI agents currently interact on twitter, they can also create content on Nexus and interact with the platform expanding the realm of possibilities even further.
Nexus provides a unique amalgamation of digital identity, gamification, and community converging under one application.
Nexus recently finished its pre-season phase and has now fully launched. So if the above paragraphs excite you, I recommend getting active on Nexus as soon as possible.
Beyond this, the team has also teased the launch of a product that involves AI agents and data layers, but information about this still needs to be made available.
However, given the recent excitement around these two sectors, Zentry is going to benefit that much more from the launch of this new product.
But that’s not all; products are just the start of it. The partnerships are where things get even juicier.
Partnerships and acquisitions
Let’s begin with a major acquisition made by Zentry.
They have acquired a game publisher called Maxion. The idea behind this acquisition is for Maxion to reimagine popular web2 games catered for a web3 gaming world.
That means implementing on-chain assets, tokens, NFT items, and more to the traditional gaming experience.
Maxion's first game, Ragnarok Landverse, is essentially a concept adapted from the popular game Ragnarok but with a web3 twist.
You can expect similar adaptations in the near future.
Maxion will effectively be the way that Zentry launches games in the Zentry universe to continuously expand the product offering for the Zentinals. Oh, and just FYI, Maxion generated 8 figures in revenue. So yeah, these guys are top-notch.
Now, let’s talk about a massive partnership.
Zentry has partnered with Ronin. Yes, the same Ronin on which the Axie Infinity game runs.
Web3 Gaming and Axie Inifinty are almost synonymous at this point. Ronin is an absolute giant in the web3 gaming world so this partnership simply makes sense.
Ronin will be integrating with the Nexus product to begin with, and down the line, you can expect a lot more to come from this partnership.
I’m telling you, Zentry is going to be the palace to be for web3 gaming.
Tokenomics and treasury
Zentry has also recently revamped its tokenomics to go along with that stacked and ever-growing treasury of theirs.
The ZENT tokenomics have been revamped to maximize value accrual to the token. This is done with two elements:
- Vault
- Buybacks
The vault program is essentially a rewards program. It monitors activity and manages rewards pools, then distributes rewards in the form of airdrops.
These airdrops can be in the form of ZENT tokens, which will be derived through buybacks (more on this later) or ecosystem allocations. They can also be tokens sourced from partnerships or other campaigns, or NFTs through campaigns or collaborations.
The other element is buybacks.
The buybacks are directly linked to the strength of the Zentry treasury.
Zentry currently has a treasury worth up to 150M+ and growing. It is made up of ETH and stablecoin, which are consistently earning yield, which means that portion will continue to grow.
It also consists of venture investments made in other parts of the gaming ecosystem, which have performed really well thus far.
Eventually, once products start getting rolled out, the revenue generated from these products will also go back to the treasury, helping it grow even further.
A portion of this deep treasury will be used to buyback ZENT from the open market, a portion of these buybacks will be used in the Vault program for rewards and airdrops, and some of the tokens will be held back in the treasury for partnerships or other such initiatives, and some of the tokens will also be burned from the supply.
In short, the tokenomics are healthy long-term, it is designed for numba go up, and it helps the ecosystem grow. Everyone wins.
But another element to touch upon is ZENT staking.
ZENT can be staked for stZENT to get a bunch of staking rewards and further restaked within partner ecosystem to amplify returns. The reason I mention ZENT staking is because the stakers are already seeing the benefits.
For example, ZENT stakers could infuse their fragments (a reward for staking) which would allow them to farm the Sophon airdrop.
Another airdrop that ZENT stakers received is the Aethir Cloud drop. These are just two examples of massive projects rewarding ZENT stakers, so imagine what the future holds.
Speaking of which.
Looking ahead to 2025
So, what is Zentry's plan for 2025? Put simply, the Zentry universe will come to life in 2025.
As mentioned earlier, Nexus and Radiant will be fully launched by then, and this should already have a very active user base. But beyond that, implementing AI capabilities should further enhance the tech stack. AI agent interaction will make these platforms the perfect intersection between AI and gaming.
Another element to keep in mind is Zigma, which is Zentry’s own community-owned IP, and will go live as its own NFT collection.
There will be more partnerships, specifically with the Vault, to add close to $20M in rewards for ZENT stakers.
Beyond that, you can expect more integrations with both web2 and web3 companies and a bigger push to attract a web2 user base. There will be more games, which means more rewards for players in the Zentry universe.
In short, the ecosystem will fully come to life, and the real power of Zentry's metagame layer should be clear to all.
Concluding thoughts
The gaming narrative is very real and will most certainly be massive in 2025. The combination of crypto, gaming, and AI simply makes sense.
Zentry provides the most comprehensive suite to onboard web2 users while also providing a unified experience that both gamers and game publishers can utilize.
The team are absolute chads and have been meticulously working on every aspect of this product suite for over two years now. They have strong partnerships, a robust treasury, a comprehensive product suite, and strong value accrual to the token.
If there were ever a product to back in the gaming sector, I would look no further than Zentry.
There is not much more I can say. I have presented you with the facts, and now it’s up to you to decide if you would like to hop along for the ride or watch from the sidelines.
