Telegram-linked Notcoin has risen in popularity in several regions across the world. A recent analysis report by CoinMarketCap - focussing on key narratives and user trends - brought to light that Notcoin currently occupies the numero uno position on the most popular coin list in Africa.

In Europe and Asia, it occupied the second spot, commanding a 22% and 32% share respectively. Meanwhile in South America and Australia also this coin managed to feature on the top-5 list and command a 10-12% share.

Parallelly, the meme momentum has gained pace in Brazil, India, and Indonesia. Specifically, the H1 web traffic trend on CoinMarketCap’s web page underlined,

“Driven by the meme-centric market environment, Brazil has become the second largest country, with around 9% market share. It is followed by India (7.57%), Indonesia (6.5%), Germany (6.4%), and Russia (6.2%).”

While Shiba Inu and Pepe Coin made it to North Americans’ list, Africans seemed to be more inclined towards Hamster WifHat in June. Pepe also made its way into Asian, South American, and Australian crypto users’ radar.

The report further pointed out that a “dramatic shift” from Q1 to Q2 was registered that aligned with the meme coin hype. Their interest registered a “stunning” surge amongst the global crypto community.

Alongside, countries like the USA, United Kingdom, and France - which have traditionally been more inclined towards BTC, ETH, DeFi, infrastructure, and institutional markets - have registered a decline in crypto user market share.

Barring Africa, Bitcoin remained to be the most popular coin across all regions. Its share varied in the 35% to 51% bracket.
